The Service

TOFTW provides tournament management software with a branded public website for each organization: registration, payments, brackets, drafts, and schedules. Organizers are responsible for the events they run, including their rules, refund policies, and conduct.

A tournament that does not collect payment through TOFTW checkout — an event taking payment offline or one with no entry fee — is limited to 40 participants. This limit applies on every plan and is per tournament. Connecting a Square or Stripe account and taking payment through the tournament site removes it.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person or entity may not maintain accounts for abusive or fraudulent purposes.

Subscriptions & Billing

Organizer subscriptions (Solo and League tiers) are billed monthly through Stripe. Plans can be changed or canceled at any time via the billing portal; cancellation ends access to paid features at the close of the current billing period. Trials convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.

Participant Payments

Registration fees are charged by the organizer through the organizer's own payment account (Square or Stripe). TOFTW does not hold those funds and charges the organizer no fee on them — entry fees settle directly to the organizer at their processor's standard rate.

The person paying at checkout is charged a TOFTW service fee in addition to the organizer's entry fee: $1.00 plus 1.5% of the entry fee per participant, capped at $4.00 per participant, and nothing at all when the entry fee is under $10.00. A self-formed team pays each roster member's fee, summed into the one checkout. Merchandise purchases carry the same rate on the cart subtotal — one fee per checkout, and none on a subtotal under $10.00. The fee appears as its own line item before payment and is never charged to the organizer.

Refunds for registration fees and merchandise are at the organizer's discretion and subject to the organizer's policy — contact the organizer directly. The TOFTW service fee is not refunded when an individual registration or order is refunded; it is refunded when the tournament itself is cancelled.

Content & Conduct

Organizers retain ownership of the content they publish (names, logos, copy, images, and event details) and grant TOFTW a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as necessary to operate the service.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload or publish, including all images, and you represent that you have the rights to use it. You may not upload, publish, or transmit content that is unlawful; infringes another party's intellectual property or other rights; is sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic; depicts or promotes the sexual exploitation of minors; is hateful, harassing, defamatory, or threatening; or contains malware or is designed to deceive.

We do not pre-screen content and are not obligated to monitor it, but we may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account, at our discretion and without notice, for violating these terms or applicable law. Suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law.

If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright or other rights, contact us through toftw.com/contact with the details and we will review and act on valid notices.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TOFTW and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of the content you publish, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms or the rights of any third party. This obligation survives termination of your account.

Availability & Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We work to keep the platform available and your data safe, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TOFTW's liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
